My name is Léo Escourrou. I restored and run La Maison du Château, a 150 m² house at the heart of the historic village of Meung-sur-Loire, 100 metres from the castle. I have been welcoming travellers since 2022 — today 66 Airbnb reviews, average rating 4.85 / 5.

Why Meung-sur-Loire

Meung-sur-Loire is not in the guidebooks like Amboise or Chenonceau. That's precisely what makes it an ideal base to visit the Valley of the Kings: a real Loire village, a little-known two-faced château, and every major site reachable in under an hour. I share my own addresses (tables, wineries, markets, walks) with every guest on arrival — the ones I visit myself.
